The German Startup Monitor 2024 reveals a clear challenge: cooperation between startups and established companies remains difficult. Only 37.5% of startups rate cooperation with industry as good - a decline compared to the previous year. At the same time, Baden-Württemberg remains a highly attractive location for start-ups. 70 percent of start-ups would settle in the region again.
How can this discrepancy be overcome? What potential does cooperation between start-ups and established companies offer? These questions are the focus of the event “Innovationspotenzial in #TheLänd nutzen – Partnerschaften zwischen Mittelstand und Startups”, which brings together experts from business, politics and science.
As part of a Fireside Chat, Florian Nöll and Maximilian Dreher will provide insights into how collaboration between corporates and start-ups can succeed. Afterwards, leading figures from politics, business and science will discuss how the innovative strength of start-ups and the experience of established companies can be better combined. They will be joined by
- Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut MdL, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism in Baden-Württemberg
- Dr. Jan Stefan Roell, BWIHK President, Managing Director of roellpartners GmbH
- Florian Meßner-Schmitt, Head of Corporate Venturing, Trumpf
- Peter Heidkamp, Vice President Finance & Insurance, Aleph Alpha
- Prof. Dr. Alexander Brem, Institut of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science, University of Stuttgart
The event is aimed at managing directors and decision-makers from all sectors, particularly from the fields of innovation, investments, M&A, business development, strategy and finance.
