Spin-offs from science at the University of Stuttgart - learn from founders! On September 13, 2023 from 4:00-5:30 pm, the Elements4Founding Startup Talk Series goes into the next round. We warmly invite all interested young scientists* to participate!

For the Startup Talk Series, the Elements4Founding project regularly invites young founders of startups from the Startup Campus 0711 ecosystem to talk about their experiences and answer questions from the participants, because: Who better to learn from than those who have already taken the path of spin-off?

This time we have the pleasure of welcoming Nils Fahrbach, CEO of the startup PRINTOPTIX. Nils Fahrbach is an alumnus of the University of Stuttgart, a member of the Institute of Technical Optics and co-founder of the science-based startup together with Dr. Simon Thiele. He will tell about the origin story, the idea for PRINTOPTIX and its development and will be on hand for a Q&A session afterwards.

The Elements4Founding team and the Startup Coaches of the Transfer Center of the University of Stuttgart will also be present to outline support opportunities for scientists with innovative ideas. At the end of the event, participants can exchange ideas and network with each other and with the coaches over drinks and snacks.

About PRINTOPTIX:

PRINTOPTIX designs, develops and manufactures unique micro-optical components on a scale from 10 µm to 2 mm and on a variety of substrates such as fiber optic tips, image sensors or LEDs. In doing so, they map the entire process - from their customers' idea for a micro-optical component to the finished product to further development and series production. In medical technology, for example, much smaller vessels than before can be examined with endoscopes, and the light coupling of micro-LED arrays to other chips or fibers, for example, can be implemented cheaply and efficiently.

PRINTOPTIX was funded by the EXIST grant from 2020-2021 and by the Junge Innovatoren Stipendium from 2021-2022 and has now been spun off as a GmbH.
