Connected Teaching and Learning for the Future

This is precisely where the university-wide project INTERACT (INTERdisciplinary Academic Cooperation & Transfer) steps in - funded by the “Stiftung Innovation für die Hochschullehre” (StIL). The aim is to systematically embed interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary forms of teaching and learning within the university’s teaching framework. This will enable students to link theoretical specialist knowledge with social and economic practice in order to develop problem-solving skills for the world of tomorrow.

Our focus at ENI: knowledge transfer, social engagement & public relations

Within the project, we shape the transdisciplinary link between academic education and the real-world innovation ecosystem – facilitating a two-way flow of knowledge into civil society and the economy.

The core strategic areas are organized into the following pillars:

  • Knowledge transfer & science communication: The systematic collation and publication of project progress and results.
  • Societal engagement & co-creation: Via a central platform, industry partners, start-ups and members of society contribute real-world, future-oriented problems, which are then addressed in student project modules.
  • Start-up support & spin-off consultancy: Working in close collaboration with TRACES, the ENI provides targeted support to student teams whose prototypes or concepts show the potential to become marketable, sustainable innovations.

Through this integrated structure, we at the ENI play a key role in providing students at the University of Stuttgart with specialist training and helping them to develop into transformative shapers of a sustainable future.
