Recap: Startup Talk with NECKAR and Kulturinsel on April 10

April 16, 2024

Starting up from science at the University of Stuttgart - learn from founders! On April 10, 2024, the Elements4Founding Startup Talk Series entered the next round and we were able to meet two very special founders!

The Elements4Founding project regularly invites founders of startups from the Startup Campus 0711 ecosystem to the Startup Talk Series, where they talk about their experiences and are available to answer participants' questions: Who better to learn from than those who have already gone down the path of (spin-off) founding?

Ten participants came together at frei[raum] to learn from our guests: Sergey Vasiliev, co-founder of the startup NECKAR, gave us a warm welcome. Sergey Vasiliev reported on the start-up journey, shared exciting insights into the joint spin-off with a team of engineers and then exchanged ideas with the participants in an open Q&A session. Another guest we welcomed was Joachim Petzold, founder of the charitable company Kulturinsel gGmbH. Joachim Petzold began by sharing his experiences, reporting on the highs and lows, and then he too entered into an open exchange with the participants. As an alumnus of the Hochschule der Medien and self-employed for decades, Joachim decided to make social responsibility the core of his entrepreneurial activities when he founded Kulturinsel.

A particular highlight was the discussion of questions in the plenary session: although two very different founders met here, there were some exciting similarities in the experiences and recommendations for prospective founders, for example: go out and get feedback, talk to people, potential customers and other stakeholders about your idea, this is the only way it can grow!

The Elements4Founding project team would like to thank all participants for the exciting exchange, questions and honest insights from Joachim Petzold and Sergey Vasiliev.

Since 2012, an incomparable space for art, culture, encounters and networking has been growing here.

About Elements4Founding: Elements4Founding is a project of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI) at the University of Stuttgart.
