Which market opportunities are available for my startup?

October 4, 2021

Workshop to explore different market opportunities for early-stage startups applying for an EXIST grant.

After a short round of introductions, Marcel Werle, startup coach at ENI, presented a method for identifying different markets ("Market Opportunity Navigator"). The goal of this is to go through an iterative process, on the basis of which the best possible market entry strategy can be selected. According to Werle, the first step is to become aware of the options available to date. In the course of this first step, a short working session was held in which the participants were able to explore their market options on the basis of an application and an associated potential customer base. The teams presented these in the next step.

Through the subsequent mutual exchange, the teams were able to gain further insights: "Through the exchange, I got more ideas that we can develop," said Sebastian Wenzel from Sat:o. Finally, the teams were able to use the content they had learned to independently tackle continuing tasks that will be covered in the workshop series.

The event aimed to let startups explore different market opportunities using various techniques. The workshop was organized by the Institute for Entrepreneurship (ENI) of the University of Stuttgart.
