Three questions for Dominik Hörauf

June 1, 2022

"Three questions for..." is a format of the regularly published newsletter for Startup & Entrepreneurship at the University of Stuttgart. Here, people from the ecosystem of the University of Stuttgart introduce themselves, report on their experiences with the topic of "startup and entrepreneurship" and reveal tips for people interested in founding a company.

1. Please briefly introduce yourself and your current job.

My name is Dominik Hörauf. I have been working as a research assistant at the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science here at the University of Stuttgart since April 2022. Before that, I was already a master's student and student assistant at this institute. In teaching, I work on the SQ "Prototyping Insights" as well as on the thesis seminar. In research, I am particularly interested in creativity with regard to artificial intelligence.

2. How did you get involved in entrepreneurship?

My interest in entrepreneurship started very early in my school days. I then became more serious about it during my studies in various lectures on the topic of entrepreneurship. Through my work here at the Institute, entrepreneurship is now also one of my professional interests.

3. What tip would you give to students who are enthusiastic about founding a company, or who have already taken the first steps towards self-employment?

Take advantage of the many local offers here at the University of Stuttgart. The Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science in particular offers you the ideal contacts for all questions about self-employment, founding and start-ups. In addition, you can build up professional knowledge for a future start-up early on in your studies through the numerous courses on offer.
