New "Young Innovators" grand for EMECTRIC

October 27, 2020

The team, which was funded by EXIST until September, will now also receive the "Young Innovators" grant from October 2020 to September 2021.

The EMECTRIC battery system has convincing answers to the major challenges in the use of batteries in aviation. In addition to the high flexibility, which allows the battery to be ideally adapted to the installation space, the modular battery system is equipped with a comprehensive safety concept. The system achieves high energy densities through lithium-ion round cells, which are installed in a lightweight yet high-strength structure.

The team, which was funded by EXIST until September, will now also receive the "Young Innovators" grant from October 2020 to September 2021.

The team receives advice and support from Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Kfm. Alexander Sauer, Stuttgart Institute for Energy Efficiency in Production (EEP) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Birke, head of the Electrical Energy Storage Systems working group at the Institute of Photovoltaics (ipv) at the University of Stuttgart.
