Annual Meeting of the „quer.kraft” Innovation Association with ENI Contributions on Nuremberg Castle

October 25, 2022

On October 11, 2022, this year’s annual meeting of “quer.kraft” took place as a hybrid event both online and in-person again on the historic Imperial Castle in Nuremberg. Almost 150 participants from industry and science attended this time – ENI was also again strongly represented by Prof. Dr. Alexander Brem (founder of quer.kraft and member of the board) and several other ENI employees.

More than 60 member companies, almost ten event formats and a history spanning almost 20 years: The quer.kraft innovation association can look back on an impressive success story. And so, together with almost 150 participants, the 2022 annual meeting was once again able to devote itself to the topic of "Transformation to more sustainability - innovation management as a driver!".

ENI Institute Director and quer.kraft founder Prof. Dr. Alexander Brem was, of course, involved in the event not only as an audience member, but as usual as an important scientific initiator. For this year's scientific keynote, for example, he was able to welcome Assist. Prof. Dr. Eugenia Rosca from the University of Groningen, who gave a talk on "Sustainable Innovation for the Circular Economy: Finding Inspiration". In addition, the Norbert Thom Innovation Award was given again this year for outstanding student theses that were written in cooperation with a quer.kraft member company. As in previous years, Professor Brem was a member of the jury.

In the afternoon, the popular "quer.camp" took place again, where participants could attend one of four workshops offered in parallel, both on-site and online, and actively participate. Here, too, ENI was actively involved: Together with Paulina Wunderlich (Idea Manager at DEHN SE), Theresa Wöllner (external PhD student at ENI) and Dominik Hörauf (research assistant at ENI) offered the workshop "Sustainability of Ideas and Knowledge". In this workshop, challenges as well as possible solutions and recommendations for future action on the aspect of sustainability in idea management were developed in a WorldCafé workshop.

The 2022 Annual Conference was again rounded off by the "Executive Talk Round", in which the topic of innovation management as a driver for more sustainability was discussed by Sophie Ivens (CEO, Rissmann GmbH), Rainer Seßner (CEO, BayernInnovativ), Julia Graeber (Member of the Board, Vedes AG) and Stefanie Wrobel (Professor, TH Ingolstadt).
