With Gründermotor, we are laying the foundation for the next generation of SMEs in " THE LÄND". We are creating an innovation ecosystem with European appeal. In this way, we are supporting economic, social and sustainable progress in Baden-Württemberg as part of the state's "Start-up BW" campaign.
Our services connect all relevant groups in the startup ecosystem: startups, universities, startup funding programmes, experienced founders, companies and investors. At the interface between science and business, we enable learning from and with each other as well as an exchange and transfer of knowledge and experience.
Gründermotor as a public-private partnership
Gründermotor is a public-private partnership. Private industry and public sector scientific institutions work hand in hand here. We are made up of the privately financed Gründermotor GmbH & Co. KG and the publicly financed state initiative Gründermotor.
The privately financed GmbH & Co. KG emerged from the Stuttgart venture builder and start-up hub Pioniergeist. The state initiative Gründermotor is in turn based at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science at the University of Stuttgart, as well as the Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart (Stuttgart Media University). With our hybrid structure, we build a bridge between science and business and combine research and theory with practical implementation.

Research BW
At Research BW, the focus is on networking research. We have set ourselves the goal of creating a platform for entrepreneurship researchers in Baden-Württemberg for inspiration, exchange and collaboration. In this way, we make research in the state more visible and at the same time build a strong community. Through our work, we support the dissemination of evidence-based knowledge on start-up activities within society, both regionally and internationally!
Educator BW
The platform for entrepreneurship educators and start-up coaches from THE LÄND.
We support you in promoting your start-up talents.
Our mission is to strengthen the exchange and cross-university cooperation in the entrepreneurship education community in Baden-Württemberg. We want to align the start-up initiatives of the universities in a state-wide movement to support them in shaping their talents into entrepreneurs, transforming innovative ideas into promising growth companies and generating collective visibility and attraction for Baden-Württemberg as a business location from regional clusters.
INNO FESTIVAL
The motto of the INNO Festival BW is: #bringingallthreadstogether. We have set ourselves the goal of bringing together representatives of all stakeholder groups in our ecosystem in a select circle and thus offering a platform for groundbreaking and exciting innovations!
Brought together are: Academic partners, corporate partners, ecosystem partners, investment partners, start-ups and representatives from politics.
