IEEE TEMSCON 2024 began with a pre-conference at which Prof. Alexander Brem, Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Engineering Management Review (EMR), chaired the session “Driving Practical Impact with IEEE Engineering Management Review (EMR)”. Here, the journal was introduced and the participants discussed how articles can be ideally prepared for an institution.
Later in the conference, Prof. Brem gave a keynote speech on “The AI Digital Revolution in Innovation”. He highlighted the far-reaching effects of artificial intelligence (AI) on the innovation process and the opportunities that arise for companies and start-ups as a result of advancing digitalization.
Prof. Brem also took part in an expert panel entitled “Accelerating Innovation for a Sustainable Future”. The discussion focused on how technological advances can be used to tackle pressing global challenges such as climate change and shape a more sustainable future.
The IEEE TEMSCON was an ideal opportunity to meet international researchers in person, with whom close scientific collaboration has existed for years. The direct exchange on site made it possible to deepen existing collaborations and provide new impetus for future joint projects.
