The ICM x E4F network get-together
Thirty participants attended the network meeting at frei[raum], including doctoral students and people interested in founding a company from all disciplines at the University of Stuttgart, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. After insights into the future activities of the InnovationCampus Mobility of the Future and the Elements4Founding project, the stage now belonged to the founders.
A total of six teams, including three existing companies and three prospective founders, presented their exciting ideas, innovations and business models. Among them: SIEBEN Umzüge GmbH, On Your Route GmbH, Schedule Display, MoThor Batteries, Tengilence GmbH and the Damper Dudes.
From early-stage ideas to role model talks, a wide range of experiences came together under the common interest in the topic of start-ups and were able to get to know each other in the subsequent open exchange.
For some of those present, the event was even one of the first points of contact with the topic of "Entrepreneurship as a career path". A question often asked by doctoral students: "How do we find out what offers are available for us?" We at Elements4Founding have set up a LinkedIn group for doctoral candidates and postdocs to which we would like to invite all those interested (LinkedIn: https://lnkd.in/gnH8Xcde). We would also like to draw your attention to the newsletter of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research (ENI), which provides exciting news from the start-up ecosystem at the University of Stuttgart every two weeks (https://lnkd.in/gqKA7pKV).
Many thanks to all participants, the co-organizers from KIT Innovation gGmbH and the InnovationCampus Future Mobility, our colleagues and supporters at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research (ENI), and the colleagues from Technologie-Transfer-Initiative GmbH and the TRACES transfer center, who provide further support for innovative ideas.
A special thank you goes to the Vector Foundation, which will continue to support and promote the Elements4Founding project in 2024 and thus make the fruitful exchange and start-up sensitization of early career researchers at the University of Stuttgart possible in the first place!
