Prof. Brem was invited to give a keynote presentation on technological innovation and sustainability in Wuhan at the 5th Innovation and Knowledge Management (iKM) conference. In his speech, he highlighted the role of technology management in sustainable development, as innovation cycles can take very long time spans. Here, for instance, dominant designs with their related standardization processes can play a crucial role, highlighted using the example of the solar industry.
This year, the conference was hosted at the Wuhan University of Science and Technology. This year's edition attracted more than 500 researchers from China and beyond. Other keynote presentations came from Prof. Chen Jin, Prof. Ikujiro Nonaka, Prof. Eric Tsui, Prof. Vincent Ribiere, Prof. Rongbin Lee, and Prof. Mats Magnusson, among others.
