From May 13-15, the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI) invites all PhD students and early career researchers to discuss their research ideas with renowned Entrepreneurial Ecosystems scholars and peers.

Entrepreneurial Ecosystems (EE) are evolving, multilevel phenomena that have an increasing impact on economy, society and the environment. EEs can be described as complex systems of actors (e.g., firms, entrepreneurs, and institutions) and elements, such as shared infrastructure, demands and knowledge flows. With their unique structure, they act as an engine and catalyzer of regional economic growth. The objective of EE research is to analyse and understand their dynamics and mechanisms.

Stuttgart is a striving region for startup development, bringing together a strong industrial sector and a lively network of young minds and entrepreneurial talents - the perfect place for this years’ EE Research Spring School.
Together with our scientific partners, the EE Research Spring School 2024 will be coordinated by Alexander Brem, Head of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI) at the University of Stuttgart, and Christina Theodoraki (TBS Education). We aim to bring together interdisciplinary, cutting-edge research on EEs to gain a better understanding of the potentials and boundaries of the research field.

2024 marks the third edition of the EE Research School, an initiative started by Christina Theodoraki (TBS Education), Erik Stam and Niels Bosma (Utrecht University) in 2022. After the first EE Winter School at the University of Utrecht (NL) and the Special Edition at the Adalia Institute (MA) in 2022, the EE Research Summer School 2023 took place at the Sorbonne University (FR). We are honored to host the #EERSS2024 in Stuttgart (DE).

#EERSS2024 provides a unique opportunity to exchange with peers prior to publication of your research results. Attendees have the chance to submit proposals and manuscripts to be discussed in paper development workshops with senior and peer scholars. The program is designed to accelerate the paper development process and to contribute to the international scholarly exchange on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems.
