Brigitte Schönberger studied agricultural biology with a specialization in agricultural biotechnology at the University of Hohenheim. In 2016, she completed her PhD in epigenetics at the Institute of Crop Sciences at the University of Hohenheim. Afterwards, she spent two years as a PostDoc in the 'Computational Biology' group at the Institute of Biochemical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart. During this time, she began to complete further training to obtain the Baden-Württemberg university didactics certificate. In the process, she decided to make a lateral move into educational sciences.
Since 2019, she worked at the Institute of Business Education at the University of Hohenheim and subsequently at the Institute of Educational Science at the University of Stuttgart in the areas of e-examinations, communication in interdisciplinary working environments and support options for first generation students, among others. Since 2022, she has been a research fellow at the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science. She is a volunteer on topics such as gender equality, intersectionality, diversity and environmental protection.
