Jordi Mauri

I was born on the Mediterranean coast. Concorde is undergoing its flight test and Commander Armstrong is five months away from stepping on the moon. As a disciplined baby boomer, I studied, mechanical engineering, while maintaining many friendships playing basketball. After graduation, I worked as a development engineer and while working in product development, I discovered creativity and innovation as leverage for every personal and professional project. This was followed by different work experiences from the public sector to entrepreneurial spin-offs in the renewable energy sector. 
I work as a start-up coach at the University of Stuttgart since May 2020. From Spain (Valencia) I bring more than 15 years of experience in advising and supporting startups at universities. I myself built up a university startup service in Valencia and managed it for several years before moving to Germany with my family. In addition, I have co-initiated and coordinated other transfer projects from the EU. "Entrepreneurship and innovation can also be playful and should be fun!" is my motto. 
At the Polytechnic University in Valencia, I intensively studied the design of innovative processes in companies. In doing so, I focused on a new innovation methodology that examines the interaction between three perspectives - technology, business and society. 
I have been an entrepreneur for more than 25 years: through 3 spin-offs in Spain in renewable energy and innovation management, and now through my work as a freelance innovation consultant in Germany, I have gained a lot of experience, but also had fun. 
My special interest is the creative finding of business ideas, the development of business models and strategies for Lean Startup and any kind of innovation.
