Lili Liesenberg completed a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Digital Production Management (Industrial Engineering).
During her studies, she gained extensive practical experience at Mercedes-Benz AG, particularly in the areas of joining technology development, assembly planning, and innovation management in production environments.
In her current role at Mercedes-Benz Operations, she focuses on the further development of innovation processes in production, particularly on the structured identification, evaluation, and implementation of shopfloor ideas, with a focus on developing a scalable, company-wide innovation management process.
Since 2026, Lili Liesenberg has been pursuing her PhD as an external doctoral candidate at the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science at the University of Stuttgart. Her research focuses on how innovation on the shopfloor can be systematically designed and enabled. In particular, she investigates the influence of organizational, technological, cultural, and human factors on innovation activities in international production networks.
