Welcome to RISE
We are thrilled to announce the launch of RISE V, the latest edition of our modular workshop series designed to bridge the gap between research and practical innovation. Hosted by the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI), RISE stands for Research, Innovation, Science, and Entrepreneurship, and aims to equip early career researchers with the right toolkit to transform their work into impactful ventures.
What is RISE?
RISE offers a diverse range of courses tailored to help researchers apply their academic insights into real-world contexts. Participants will engage with experts across academia, industry, and the startup ecosystem, enhancing their innovation skills and mindset. While RISE is not focused on immediate business formation, it provides an invaluable toolkit to boost career prospects.
Why Participate in RISE?
This series is specifically designed for PhD students and Postdoc researchers affiliated with the University of Stuttgart and our partner institutions. Whether you have a broad interest in entrepreneurship or are keen on specific innovation topics, RISE offers an opportunity to connect with peers from diverse disciplines, exchange ideas, and gain skills and knowledge essential for career advancement. As part of our cooperation with GRADUS, you will receive 0.25 LP as a doctoral candidate for successful participation in each of our workshops.
Workshop Structure and Modules
RISE V kicks off with a two-day bootcamp, followed by six engaging workshops, each focusing on crucial aspects of innovation:

We run the workshop together with our colleagues from the Falling Walls Foundation. You will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with role models from the industry and founders.
