1. Please briefly introduce yourself and your current job.
Hi, I'm Laura Rothgang and I'm building up the entrepreneurship unit at the TRACES transfer center. In particular, I will be focusing on the topics of female and impact entrepreneurship and will also be placing even more emphasis on these within the framework of “INSPIRE2Start” (INSPIRE Hubs BW of the MWK).
2. Was hat Projekt CARS 2.0 mit Transfer zu tun?
I already had an intrinsic interest in entrepreneurship at the beginning of my Master's degree in 2017 and attended many courses, workshops and startup events at my university. As a result, I ended up founding a startup together with fellow students during my master's degree, which gave me first-hand experience of the Stuttgart startup ecosystem. After about five years in my own company, I decided, together with some of my co-founders, to get out and take a new path. However, my heart and passion for entrepreneurship and empowerment remained. I am therefore all the more happy to support students interested in starting their own business by contributing my experience to Traces.
3. Wer kann sich an dich wenden und wie sieht deine Unterstützung konkret aus?
Take the plunge! If you already have the desire or are thinking about founding a company, trying out and realizing your idea, then go for it. It is often much easier to get started during your studies due to the flexibility and variety of funding programs. You will benefit either way, as the increase in experience is immense and will enrich your future path regardless of the future success of your startup. Establishing and exchanging networks at an early stage is often crucial. Take advantage of the coaching offers for the necessary orientation in the dynamic startup ecosystem and off you go on your growth journey on various levels.
