From February 2025, founders can travel to innovative target markets outside Europe for up to three months as part of the EYE entrepreneur exchange program funded by the EU Commission and learn from experienced entrepreneurs there.
For over 15 years, founders have been working together with experienced entrepreneurs in an exchange lasting several weeks in the context of the EYE program. One of the goals of the program is to promote international partnerships so that start-ups can tap into new growth opportunities, better orient themselves in complex markets and introduce innovative practices. The program is not only intended for students and young people. People with planned or existing entrepreneurial experience can take part. By choosing one of the four newly added countries outside the EU, founders can travel to an experienced entrepreneur for one to three months (up to six months within the EU). On site, they benefit from mentoring and knowledge exchange by actively working in the company. Thanks to the funding of the program by the EU Commission, founders also receive financial support.
Overview of the new host countries:
- Great Britain: close economic partner of the EU. The UK's inclusion in the EYE program is intended to consolidate its long-standing cooperation with the EU.
- USA: As the home of Silicon Valley and a global player in technology and innovation, the USA offers opportunities for entrepreneurs who want to grow and gain access to different consumer markets.
- Canada: With its vibrant start-up ecosystem, Canada offers unique conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to innovate in various fields such as renewable energy, AI and life sciences.
- Singapore: As the gateway to Asia, Singapore's strategic location and business-friendly environment make it an ideal partner for entrepreneurs looking to expand into dynamic and emerging markets.
