It could be much easier to successfully launch your own startup if there weren't competitors who use the unprotected know-how of others and protect their own know-how by means of industrial property rights. This can quickly lead to unpleasant surprises, because "if you deal with it too late, you won't get in". Therefore, dealing with industrial property rights at an early stage is especially important for startups.
The FüSQ "Intellectual Property Rights for StartUps" aims to take away the fear of (often also costly) intellectual property protection and enable participants to independently develop solutions and strategies, nationally and internationally, at an early stage that allow them to navigate safely through a world of complex rules and laws.
With the help of practical examples, exercises and discussions, we will learn the basics of intellectual property law from the perspective of a startup that wants to protect its own innovations in the best possible way and at the same time is confronted with the property rights of a competitor.
