Demo Day 2025: Five Teams Present Solutions for the Industry of the Future

October 22, 2025

On 14 October 2025, the University of Stuttgart hosted the Demo Day of the university partner network as part of CARS 2.0: Cluster Automotive Region Stuttgart.

Researchers from the University of Stuttgart and Esslingen University of Applied Sciences presented their results from the 2nd round of the InnoRegioChallenge — showcasing what becomes possible when academia and industry work together on real-world challenges.

Five teams had spent several months engaging intensively with concrete company challenges. The topics reflected the breadth of current questions facing the automotive and supplier industry: future-proof hydrogen supply for manufacturing companies without pipeline access, resilient data-driven metal additive manufacturing, the use of digital twins in decentralised software development, AI-based workflows for ticket and error management, and innovative solutions for automated wet fibre clamping.

The results of the Demo Day impressively demonstrate the potential that lies in close collaboration between universities and companies. TRACES would like to thank all participating companies — NUVUS, NuCOS GmbH, Ammonigy GmbH, and TTI GmbH – TGU Aero Prepreg Tow — as well as the university teams for their dedication and creativity.
