Call for Applications: Apply now for the Falling Walls Lab Baden-Württemberg 2025!
After the spectacular Falling Walls Lab Baden-Württemberg 2024, which we organized in the Elements4Founding project ( supported by the Vector Foundation) at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI) together with the Wissensfabrik e. V. in the ARENA2036, the competition is coming to the University of Konstanz this year.
The principle remains the same:
One stage, three minutes, a jury of experts, your idea and the chance to compete at the international Falling Walls Science Summit. It doesn't matter whether you're in STEM or the humanities: present your research in a three-minute pitch to convince the jury.
Which Wall Will Your Research Break? The Lab as entry to the grand finale in Berlin
Every year on November 9, the Falling Walls Science Summit takes place in Berlin - an international forum that brings together world leaders from science, business, culture and politics to provide a stage for possible solutions to global challenges. One highlight of the three-day summit is the Falling Walls Lab - the search for the “Science Breakthrough of the Year”. Top scientists from all over the world are invited to present their innovations, ideas, research results or business models to a top-class jury from science and industry. Participating in the Science Summit means taking part in an international pitch competition, a networking forum and a springboard to exchange ideas with researchers and young professionals from all disciplines and nations.
Budapest, Bamako, Baden-Württemberg - international labs as a qualifying round
The so-called Falling Walls Labs take place worldwide as a preliminary round of the international Science Summit in Berlin - alongside Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Cambridge and many others, Baden-Württemberg has been a fixed point on the international lab map for several years now. On July 18, the Data Theatre at the University of Konstanz will open its doors for the Falling Walls Lab BW 2025.
Participants will have three minutes to present their idea to a jury of experts, who will then decide on the winner and enable them to take part in the Falling Walls Science Summit.
Call for Applications - now open until April 26!
We are expecting a large number of high-caliber applications from researchers of all backgrounds, from which we will select the participants for the Lab. The Call for Applications is open until April 26th and we would like to invite all interested researchers to apply for the lab. All further information about the lab can be found on this website of the University of Konstanz.
