Industry experts and start-ups discussed current developments and prospects in a deep dive on the topic of “Quantum Tech”.
Impulses came from Prof. Dr. Thomas Bauernhansl , Dr. Michal Kern and Dr. Michael Jetter from the University of Stuttgart, among others. The session was supplemented by a contribution from Marc Alexander Kühn (UVC) and an open discussion with participation from the venture capital scene.
The event was organized by the public-private partnership of the NXTGN state initiative, the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science (ENI) at the University of Stuttgart and NXTGN GmbH. “Our aim is to promote the transfer of knowledge in the field of quantum technologies,” explained Lena Glässel, Head of the NXTGN State Initiative at ENI.
The event is part of the Deep Tech Journey and will take place annually in future. At the same time, the NXTGN network is applying to become a Startup Factory for the Deep Tech sector. The network consists of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the University of Stuttgart, the University of Heidelberg, the University of Ulm, Hochschule der Medien (HdM), IPAI (Innovation Park Artificial Intelligence) and Campus Founders. With NXTGN GmbH, the network is expanded by private-sector anchor partners and the anchor VC Mätch VC.
